Cordial
greetings one and all! Welcome along to my new blog, the Hidcote dream may be
dead but a new adventure is just beginning here in London at the Royal Botanic
Gardens, Kew. I’ve just started on my first
placement, and am currently under glass working in the Tropical Nursery (more
on that later). Similar to my previous blog, I’m hoping I can offer some
insight into what’s going on in the garden, and also feature reviews from the
other gardens along the way that I happen to visit or volunteer at.
My
email address remains bertiebainbo at gmail dot com (spam avast!) so please do
get in touch with any notes and queries.
Although
there will never be anything untoward bandied about on these pages, once again
I must state that this is a personal blog so the opinions expressed herein may
not necessarily reflect the views of the management eggs upstairs, or the Kew
organisation in general.
Phew! Now let’s get on with
it!

Here's to new beginnings. How fantastic to be embarking on such a course. Wishing you every success Bertie - looking forward to reading What ho!'s from Kew!
Dear Bertie - the Hidcote dream may be dead, but so pleased that you are still alive and kicking and starting a new adventure. Good luck with your new course, and look forward to hearing about your exploits at Kew.
Bertie, I sooo envy you - but in a positive way! I was an intern at Kew for three wonderful months and I know you will enjoy your time there. Of course, I will follow this blog too. Looking forward to your posts.
What a fantasic new adventure you have ahead of you Bertie... Looking forward to continuing your journey with you... sending you smiles Cass
Dear Bertie,
I am looking forward to reading this blog. I am new to the blogging world and so have only read your archives at your old blog as you stopped when I had just started. When I saw you had moved to these sparkling new premises I have jumped on board!

Gosh quite a change of scenery, I look forwards to hearing how you get on at Kew. It's a very different beast. I see you more among a more untidy and rambling place. Still Kew is rather magnificent. Those hothouses will be a delight.
Bertie. I trained a Kew, Course 36. It was a turning point for me and lead me on to other educational exploits. Although I am a people manager now i lead people whom deliver award winning, diverse, high standard green spaces in London. Enjoy it.
Thanks all, definite change of scene to Hidcote but I’m optimistic this will be a great adventure!
Game on!
Best to you Bertie. Looking foreword to your new adventure. That is one gorgeous greenhouse!
